The Consent Resource asks for comparision between Consent as a Resource, and Consent as a Profile on Contract.

I prefer Consent as a Resource. The space of Consent is specific to agreements from a Patient, where as Contracts are much broader. Consent space is broad enough, now incluing 4 new perspectives on Consent, that there will be sufficient use. Consent is today managed as an independent concept in an EHR, distinct from how Provider Organizations manage contracts.

Consent, with the 4 new perspectives beyond Privacy, will need to be profiled differently for these 4 perspectives. These Profiles upon Consent will be more clear than "Profiles upon a Profile upon Contract".
