      Having Device cross reference DeviceComponent is bad practice and against the resource QA guidelines and after discussing with Devices determined was not a common use case. An extension may be used.

      Proposed Wording: Add "component [0..*]" reference to either another Device or DeviceComponent.

      Comment:

      Currently a DeviceComponent references a parent Device and sub-component DeviceComponent resource but a Device instance does not have a reference to its components or related devices (e.g. a complex/modular device that consists of integrated hardware module provided by various vendors)

      Summary:

      Add refererenced to DeviceComponents or related Device resources from a parent Device.
