      IETF language codes are derived from ISO-639

      If the concern is that our source-of-truth for expansion of the value-set is not current, please let us know where to find a more up-to-date source of truth so we can discuss with the vocabulary work group

      If the proposal is to drop IETF entirely, we would need extremely strong rationale for why, given that mapping is possible and IETF is widely used in industry.
