We will not add 'plan' as the request reflects proposals, plans and orders. Adding this everywhere would be overly verbose and potentially confusing. Will change the definitions of the following statuses as shown:

on-hold: The request (and any implicit authorization to act) has been temporarily paused but is expected to resume in the future.

revoked: The request (and any implicit authorization to act) has been terminated prior to the known full completion of the intended actions. No further activity should occur.

completed: The activity described by the request has been fully performed. No further activity will occur.

entered-in-error: This request should never have existed and should be considered 'void'. (...)

On behalf of Patient Care work group discussion from March 15, 2018, the following edits (in bold) are requested.

http://confluence.hl7.org/display/PC/2018-03-15+Patient+Care+FHIR+Conference+Call (has proposed changes in red, which is easier to view)

Draft = The request/*plan *has been created but is not yet complete or ready for action

Active = The request/*plan *is in force and ready to be acted upon

Suspended = The authorization/request/*plan *to act has been temporarily *halted *but is expected to resume in the future

Cancelled = The authorization/request/*plan *to act has been terminated prior to the full completion of the intended actions. No further activity should occur

Completed = Activity against the request/plan *has been sufficiently completed (*delete "to the satisfaction of the requester")

Entered-in-error = This request/plan should never have existed and was voided. (It is possible that real-world decisions were based on it. If real-world activity has occurred, the status should be "cancelled" rather than "entered-in-error".)
