The medication usage implications being sent as a Task seems awkward to me. I see the lab wanting to deliver these (Consider an alternative, Decrease Dose, Increase Dose, etc ...) as their own Observations - they would use an OBX today. Then a provider would review the lab observations, and make the appropriate Tasks to review the observations in the context of the current medication list. PGx panels will make many medication usage suggestions, but it's likely the patient is on very few of them.
I am also not sure how comfortable a Lab will be creating a Task for this. The lab's mindset is likely to be "I am making observations, not telling you how to treat the patient." So, I am a bit concerned about this being an adoption issue.
I see how this might align with how FHIR defines a Task, but I would still like us to consider delivering this information as an Observation instead.
