Clarification
I am unclear as to the distinction between when to use the extension 'dr-supportingInfo' to reference a RiskAssessment versus when to use 'diagnosticReport-risk' extension? It seems like supportingInfo is a reference to information used to inform the testing, and diagnosticReport-risk would be used to document a risk as an outcome of the testing.
Our IG documentation is not clear. In the General Reporting page of the IG:
Genetic reports can refer to this the information that was considered as part of the report - whether provided as part of the order or made available subsequently by the patient or clinicians or otherwise retrieved.
—
It does seem that extensions make a distinction, but still not clear enough to me:
*DiagnosticReport.extension ([[CanonicalTypehttp://hl7.org/fhir/uv/genomics-reporting/StructureDefinition/dr-supportingInfo]|http://hl7.org/fhir/uv/genomics-reporting/dr-supportingInfo.html])*Definition
Additional information relevant to interpreting/understanding the report.
—
*DiagnosticReport.extension ([[CanonicalTypehttp://hl7.org/fhir/StructureDefinition/diagnosticReport-risk]|http://build.fhir.org/extension-diagnosticreport-risk.html])*Definition
Provides a link to an assessment of prognosis or risk as informed by the diagnostic results (For example, genetic results and possibly by patient genetic family history information). This extension is used when need RiskAssessment as an alternate choice for Observation.hasMember or DiagnosticReport.result.

Perhaps we should limit the "pre-test supporting information" to be referenced by ServiceRequest (which is an option today)?
