Family member data could be represented as Conditions where there is a focus (as in Observation) that describes the relationship. This would allow:

• Re-using the same Condition structure

• Having same consistency as how Observation uses focus to represent data such as a child's birth weight or a mother's laboratory status.

• Potentially enable a pedigree-based family history structure, but allowing multiple relationships to be represented between individuals in a family.
