There are apparently two possible locations for providing the definition of a concept in CodeSystem:
- concept.definition --> formal definition of the concept
- concept.designation.value (where use = 900000000000550004) --> definition of the concept (in a human language)
My guess is that concept.definition is the location for a computer-friendly formal definition (e.g.; using the compositional grammar for SNOMED CT) whereas concept.designation.value is a human-friendly, business-focused definition.
If this is the case, it would be good to better characterize the concept representing "definition" in the ValueSet http://hl7.org/fhir/2018May/valueset-designation-use.html, stressing that it is a human-friendly definition, in order to avoid confusion with the formal definiton.
