      Existing Wording: Sex assigned at Birth - the sex assigned at birth, as documented on the birth registration.

      Proposed Wording: Sex assigned at Birth - the sex documented on the original birth registration.

      Comment:

      The current description of Sex Assigned at Birth specifies the sex documented on the birth registration. Because some countries allow birth registration information to be edited, we suggest specifying that this is the sex documented on the original birth registration. We also suggest shortening the description to the proposed wording for clarity.
