Existing Wording: For DNA and RNA the bases (or monomeric subunits) are nucleotides.?

Proposed Wording: For DNA and RNA the units of analysis (or monomeric subunits) are nucleotides.?

      Comment:

Nucleotides are often called base pairs . So think using bases may not be clear.
