Not persuasive as the ballot comment appears to be related to preathorization of services, for which an insurer may state the validity period, but this would use a Claim (use=preathorization), not a CoverageEligibilityRequest.

An insurer may, and in many cases certainly will, decide that eligibility is granted only for a defined period of time, e.g. "until the end of the quarter".

Therefor it should be possible to have that information (possibly separated for each item), e.g. as CoverageEligibilityResponse.item.validPeriod .

We considered using CoverageEligibilityResponse.serviced for that, but according to the current description, this would be wrong:

"The date or dates when the enclosed suite of services are proposed and for which coverage details are requested."

since what has been requested is not necessarily the same that will be granted.

Also the validity period may differ between the single items of the enclosed suite of services.
