Assessing risk for a specific condition is not the only use. Systems frequently capture a patient's family history independent of the assessment of any particular condition

FMH is done in context of a family member, not in context of a single condition

      Comment:

The purpose of capturing patient's family member history is to support assessment of the patient's risk

The sturctural definition of this resources does not appear to support execution of the assessment easily

      A better structue is:

      FamilyMemberHistory.condtion

      .condtion.familyMember (1..*)

      .familyMember.relaship

      .onset

      .Is condition cause of death?

      age of death

      .....

With this proposed structure, for any given condition (e.g. Type 2 DM, the structure supports capturing of all family members having the condition, relationship (e.g. grand parent, parent, sibling, first cousins ...etc), their age of onset, age of death ...etc being logically clustered and relative risk for patient computed
