      We're not sure exactly how this would work in a manner that would provide "good performance". Our leaning is for implementers to experiment and if they decide that:

      a) there's a need for an operation to do this; and

      b) there's a specific operation design that would perform well and meet the need

      we'll look at standardizing that operation in a future release. Will revisit this after the next STU of SDC is out and has seen some implementation.

      Existing Wording: Alternatively, it can be done continuously as the user encounters each item when completing the form - "continuous population".

      Comment:

      There seems to be an assumption that all processing is done locally, we should also support server side processing. Which operation to use?

      I think none has been defined I suggest to insert an additional operation called $update?
