Add an end date to observationLinkPeriod

      We wouldn't want an explicit date here, it would need to be an expression and the expression would likely be based on patient age, study start date or some other variable which then starts to bring in the complexity of FHIRPath expressions. Therefore, rather than adding that complexity here, we recommend just using the FHIRPath-based population approach if you have more complex needs than "most recent Observation".

      Clem McDonald pointed out that in research studies you do not always want the most recent observation, but the most recent from the period during which study data was collected. He is suggesting that we add something to the observationLinkPeriod mechanism to specify the end date of the range specified by observationLinkPeriod's duration (the end date normally being "today").
