      The EHR/Provider should not be providing correction for CQL. If it fails, then the only course of action is to optionally (based on site/provider preference) inform the user and log the error.

      Existing Wording: If the CQL is malformed (is not syntactically correct) in any way, the execution engine SHALL not attempt any execution, and the user SHALL be notified with an appropriate on screen error message.

      Comment:

      Further define on screen error message, if possible will the user be able to correct the error? Every effort should be made to support the end user completion of their workflow to not add burden.

      This may seem to stray into application design, in part it does but the subsystem needs to support mechanisms that allow the users reponse and continuation of workflow to proceed.
