Da Vinci does not plan to be an authorizing body for applications.  Da Vinci does not have a position on what approach payers and clinical systems that comply with Da Vinci specifications will take.  I.e. Some payers/organizations may choose to rely on an authorizing/endorsing body or central authority.  In some cases, regulations may govern what types of authorization constraints exist.

      Comment:

Will there be an endorsing body for Da Vinci applications or is Da Vinci intending to leverage only the software statement signing trust chain? Regarding the latter, is the group taking a position on what, if any central authority, can or will be issuing the certificates used to sign the software statements?
