AJCC (Martin Madeira) agreed to submit the request for a SNOMED code for the term "American Joint Commission on Cancer, Cancer Staging Manual, 8th edition neoplasm staging system (tumor staging)". This process however can take months.

As a stopgap, since CancerStagingSystemVS is specified as an extensible value set, it is possible for us to add in one more term from a different coding system for this term until one is available. Doing this is conformant with the conditions for extensible value sets which allows us to add a new term as long as there is no equivalent definitional term in that value set or coding system.

      Proposed resolution: Persuasive with Mod
