Pertinent Information
Documenting pertinent information related to a recommendation is critical to helping the intended recipient determine why the recommendation applies in each particular case. Pertinent Information provides the patient-specific data supporting and/or to be considered within the context of a recommendation. For definitional content, pertinent information can typically be inferred from the content referenced by the logic involved (e.g. the clinical data reasoned over by the logic and/or newly inferred but clinically relevant information inferred within the logic). To support cases where pertinent information cannot be inferred directly from the content, as well as to allow content developers to highlight particular supporting clinical data, the input and output elements of the PlanDefinition can be used to identify pertinent information for the recommendation.
