      Comment:

Review of the IG shows that the topics addressed are comprehensive-it is unclear what the runtime or a test run of the guidelines generates for the end user in terms of consistent, error free guidance for patient care delivery based on the guideline. The principles expressed of standardizing the process of implementation to be consistent in application and reduce the effort for local implementations are important. A question I would pose is what is the science of the process used to codify the translation of guidelines into a digital process that delivers proven, error free (based on current guidelines) results; supporting patient safety as well as improved outcomes for the user community (care delivery organizations, providers, and patients)?
