      Proposed Wording: The EHR SHALL allow the ordering provider the option to review the information submitted as part of the prior authorization request and/or determine whether or not such a request should be submitted.

      Comment:

      With the provider being the gatekeeper of patient private data, particular attention must be placed to ensure that an EHR does not reveal data that the provider would not otherwise release. The process should require the availability for the physician to review any data being delivered to a payer. Recommend implementing the results of the DS4P work of the Security Workgroup
