      We thank the reviewer for the encouraging statements. We agree that alignment with the Genomics IG can be improved. There are numerous comments, more specific than this one, that point out particular areas where mCODE can align more closely with the Genomics IG. We therefore propose, as resolution, to close this issue without initiating any particular changes, and take up the remaining specific comments one by one.

      Comment:

      Overall, successful in reducing to a minimal set of elements for genetic variant data. But there are several points to be addressed (such as alignment with Clinical Genomics IG, LOINC code selections, use of a redundant extension). Very good work. My goal is to help you limit implementer rework in using genetic data. Also, I would like to highlight that I applaud the attempt to handle biomarkers.
