This issue falls under a general reconsideration of mCODE lab profiles, where it is proposed to drop the CBC and CMP laboratory profiles. The creation of the mCODE lab profiles was originally intended to accelerate the adoption detailed clinical models for labs in anticipation of CIMI laboratory profiles. It has become clear that if mCODE publishes lab profiles, and CIMI follows with its own lab profiles that are more or less different, mCODE will be guilty of creating a confusing situation with multiple laboratory profiles. Rather than risking that outcome, we propose eliminate this profile. In its place, we will list the LOINC codes of interest to mCODE, instruct implementers for the time being to follow US Core Laboratory Result profiles, and await publication of CIMI lab profiles.

Proposed resolution: Persuasive with mod (delete profile)

      Comment:

There should be sub panels for LOINC code 58410-2 Complete Blood Count (hemogram) panel and LOINC code 57023-4 Auto Differential panel.
