Existing Wording: "The goal of DTR is to collect clinical documentation and/or to encourage the completion of documentation that demonstrates medical necessity for ordered items, it is focused on the clinical documentation effort and not the administrative process."

Proposed Wording: I don't think the goal of DTR is to collect clinical documentation. Rather, it is to support the need for health plans to collect such information. Recommend changing the wording to "The goal of DTR is to enable and support the need for health plans and providers to collect clinical documentation and/or to encourage the completion of documentation that demonstrates medical necessity for ordered items. DTR is focused on the clinical documentation effort and not the administrative process."
