There are a number of resources that represent 'product' type information - items that can be in inventory and can be ordered, supplied, etc. It would be useful to have a 'pattern' similar to the Event/Request/Definition patterns that covers these types of resources to help encourage consistency and also to provide an interface layer for software that wants to treat such resources generically.
