We will not change the type optionString to optionMarkdown because that would have impacts on default values and QuestionnaireResponse answer.  However, we will add the 'rendering-style' and 'rendering-xhtml' to the answerOption.valueString element in the advanced rendering profile and will include an example to show how this can be used to have 'pictures' as the answers to certain questions.
