The section will include the following introductory verbiage:

Profiles for EOB and other reference resources are defined in this IG. Data elements in each of the EOB profiles aligns with US Department of Health and Human Services claims submission standards. An abstract EOB profile is defined, representing constraints found in all the EOB types. Four profiles define the data constraints for the specific claim type (i.e., inpatient institutional, outpatient institutional, professional and non-clinician and pharmacy).  The profiles use many industry standard codes.  The owners of those codes and an indicator for those requiring licenses is provided.

      Two documents will be referenced:

a .ppt illustrating the various EOB data elements for each profile

an Excel highlighting the mapping differences between the profiles.

Additionally, to support the mapping worksheet (FHIR-26741), a .ppt describing how to use the worksheet will be referenced.  The inline version will be removed.

All documents will be located in the private HL7 CARIN Confluence site.

The table is confusing and it is unclear what the table columns and the table overall represents. propose rewrites this page to provide enough context to the reader to understand why the table is here and how to interpret it.
