Existing Wording:
Another consideration is that all the consumer-configured data sharing approaches give the consumer full control over what happens to the data once received (i.e. what, if anything, gets persisted and where). However, most of the sharing mechanisms that do not provide data consumer control leave the decision of what data is persisted by the data consumer up to the data source.
Proposed Wording:
Another consideration is that all the consumer-configured data sharing approaches give the data consumer full control over what happens to the data once received (i.e. what, if anything, gets persisted and where). However, most of the sharing mechanisms that do not provide data consumer control leave the decision of what data is persisted by the data consumer up to the data source. The use of data shared between the consumer and source is governed by local, the state, and federal statutes and regulations and should also correspond with Da Vinci Guiding Principles.
