      It is true that two different, separate browser instances cannot communicate via postMessage, but that use case is outside the scope of SMART Web Messaging.

      It is true that two different, separate browser instances cannot communicate via postMessage, but that use case is outside the scope of SMART Web Messaging.

      PostMessage is browser dependent, where its not possible to communicate between two different types of browser windows ( IE . Chrome), while this covers most of the scenarios, technology like WebRTC can overcome this limitation as well. If the messaging protocol can be independent of the message transport ( WebRTC web postmessage) it would be better.
