      Situational Awareness for Novel Epidemic Response

      Situational Awareness has been the focus of attention in health IT circles well before the detection of potentially pandemic flu strains in 2005. Since then, a number of pandemics and other regional and national emergencies have emerged requiring some level of situational awareness to support responses by public health agencies.
