The Da Vinci use-case is to provide decision support related to any sort of medical device, including medical supplies, wheelchairs, prosthetics, etc.  The only data desired is that required to identify the 'type' of the device (udiCarrier.deviceIdentifier).  There is no interest in any other elements from US Core.  In addition, payers need to know device configuration information (sizes, colors, optical properties for glasses, etc.), so Device.property and its components are also mustSupport.

We do NOT propose changing the existing implantable device profile as it clearly has a distinct scope from what Da Vinci is interested in.
