      Changes to Consent Sections:

MedMorph should not prescribe any specific profiles/structures for representing Consent as there are other initiatives ongoing within the HL7 and Research communities addressing the specification issues.

As far as enforcement of Consent before disclosing data, MedMorph assumes that the healthcare organization will follow all local, state and federal regulations along with any other applicable policies and procedures before disclosing data.

There is some precedent to store consent as a PDF in a document management system or a cloud outside of the EHR. This helps support cloud based digital workflow to sign the consent (e.g. AdobeSign). Consent metadata could be available via an EHR service.
