      MedicationAdministration can be used, but systems should be careful to link to appropriate MedicationRequest. Future versions of US Core may test and add MedicationAdministration.

      The MedicationRequest resource is only applicable for requests. However, this seems to be the only way to get the active med list. There is also no info on medication administrations (i.e. what was actually administered vs. what was ordered). Please revisit the decision to remove MedicationStatement (soon to be MedicationUsage) and also add MedicationAdministration.
