      It's considered that the FHIR IG will have many adoptions (from the states at least). We are in the process of retiring the CDA standard (it may already have happened - the forms were submitted a month or so ago). There are some use cases (such as newborn admit) that might leverage parts of the V2 spec. Depending on the data quality - V2 may be more developed within some systems. e.g. using FHIR to replace an ADT doesn't make sense.

      We aren't planning on making any updates to the spec (even though we have said this is persuasive with mod)
