Have consulted with stakeholders - will use heuristic: In most places will use the more generic "national statistics agency" and where we need to be specific that this is the US national statistics agency we will call out NCHS (e.g. author). Also will explain that NCHS is the national statistics agency referenced in this IG (in intro).

In the 2 void documents one refers to “NCHS” and one refers to “national statistical agency”. It seems like the wording should be consistent. In general, I see “national statistic agency”, “national statistical agency” and “NCHS” used interchangeably across the documentation so I’m not sure the best approach.

      Existing Wording:

Example: This profile communicates void live birth certificates from appropriate jurisdictional vital statistics agencies to the national statistical agency. In many jurisdictions, birth certificate identifiers (certificate number) are directly linked to the printed certificate. As a result, in some cases it becomes relevant to indicate that a particular certificate number is not to be used, that the certificate is to be 'voided'
