The discussion covered the differences between planned and pending were important in this context, and plan to keep the existing definition.

The term "pending" in this context implies an inderminant timeline, which is not intended by this status.

      Existing Wording \\Encounter.status='planned'

      Proposed Wording \\Encounter.status='pending'

      Comments
Recommend changing the 'planned' status in Encounter to 'pending' (or a more appropriate non-overloaded status value). With the introduction of 'planned', 'proposed' for clinical requests, the semantics of 'planned' in Encounter does not align.
