      DocumentReference is used for purposes other than XDS. There are lots of circumstances where it's useful to just "reference" a document from within a resource. However, when making such a reference, there's no guarantee that there will be knowledge of the author or the type. And DocumentReference.indexed isn't essential to the reference functioning. The only element that it makes sense to leave as 1..x is DocumentReference.status
