      These types of information are unlikely to become part of the core resource, however the workgroup would be happy to include some specific standard extensions if clearly defined.

      The issue with defining a "standard extension" would be defining a valueset that can apply globally.

      For example in some jurisdictions religion is not permitted to be captured, or even asked. Where it is permitted, the value sets that would be used are not likely to be the same.
