if you look at NIST you fill find UCUM codes AND their own MDC codes. Not clear which one they are pushing here. At present I believe that NIST content regarding the 11073 is only available via a password. That might interfere with HL7 rules about access. NIST has agreed to include LOINC codes that correspond to the MDC codes
