      Existing Wording: code: Body temperature (Details :

      {SNOMED CT code '415945006' = 'Oral temperature', given as 'Oral temperature'}

      ;

      {LOINC code '8310-5' = 'Body temperature', given as 'Body temperature'}

      )

      value: 39 degrees C (Details: SNOMED CT code 258710007 = 'degrees C')

      Comment:

      Since in the US vital signs including temo have specifically required LOINC codes think the inclusion of snomed codes as alternative will confuse - But if you do include both. A LOINC has a oral temperature too: 8331-1

      Oral temperature

      ONC specifies code 8310-5; for the oral temperature with discussion as to further specification as to the place the temperature was taken and lOINC has code for that and an answer list tool
