I suggest eliminating this as a section. Move the first paragraph to be the last paragraph of 1.7.2.1 and eliminate the second paragraph, which is more confusing than helpful. The "molecule" analogy in the title is not followed through. The description of a prescription referencing other resources that "are maintained in their own folders and cabinets" introduces a new analogy that sounds nonintuitive and complex to a clinician (who would not thinks of a prescription as a complex set of links, even though technically it is).
