Proposed Wording: Provenance.entity.type The type of an entity used in an activity Extensible http://hl7.org/fhir/vs/resource-types

Comment:

We need to allow the type of entity to be other than a FHIR Resource. For example, when using Provenance for the details about reconciliation, some sources of information used during reconciliation will likely be from content that was from non-FHIR sources of content. For something like a CDA document there is a choice to use DocumentReference, but where content may not have been in a document the Extensibility is needed.
