      add to elementdefinition.html to say that in a resource or datatype structure definition, min and max are required, and in a type of constraint, they default to the base min and max.

      and align the sections in that page more closely with structure definition types - and make sure that this content is referenced from structure definition page.

      Comment:

      If min or max of an ElementDefinition are not specified*, what is the cardinality of that element? The W3C says that the default cardinality of an element declared in XML schema is 1..1. Do the same rules apply for FHIR? (*Note that ElementDefinition.min and ElementDefintion.max are optional, with cardinality 0..1)
