As we built the QICore profiles, we periodically found cases where the documentation looked OK, but the profile XML had errors. The underlying problem is that the documentation and the profile XML are both derived independently from the spreadsheets, so there is nothing to prevent this type of hidden "forking" error. A more sound approach would be to create the profile XML first, and then derive the documentation from the profile XML. This would expose errors in lurking in the profile XML.
