Comment:

The build system needs a complete rethinking and a major overhaul. Currently, everything is one big monolith: it all has to work, or nothing works, and the bigger the monolith, the longer it takes. Incremental builds sometimes work, but often a complete build is required. As more groups build profiles, this will quickly reach a breaking point.
